2021 Gift Guide: Best Gifts for Working Moms

Moms can be hard to shop for. Why? Because we’re typically the ones who do the shopping. We shop for the groceries, we shop for the birthday parties, we shop for the kid clothes, and we shop for ourselves. So, when it’s time for family members to shop for mom, well, let’s just say that we’re all familiar with the customer service return lines.

BUT, we’ve created a gift guide for you and by you…but kinda not for you, because it’s actually for you to share with those buying gifts for you. We asked moms within the Restored community about must-have items. And, as usual, they delivered unbelievable suggestions that we compiled here. The list is filled with gift suggestions for working moms – gifts for home, gifts for the office…and gifts that take you far, far away from those two places!!

Just copy the link or click forward, then sit back and let someone else stand in line at customer service this season, because you won’t find any socks, lotions or tchotchkes to take back on this list!

For Home

Coffee Warmer – While I’m not a fan of hot drinks (not even hot chocolate!), I know most mamas love hot coffee, and this is such a posh way to make sure it stays hot.

Nespresso Machine + Drinkware – This is how I brew my coffee each morning. I prefer espresso – sometimes double – and always with ice, which means I need something like this clear mugs set to keep it cold.

Crockpot or Instapot – This these two things were highly recommended by our community as life saver products.

Air Fryer – This is the newer version of what we use at my house. It’s so easy. So fast, and makes the crunchiest mozzarella sticks (and chicken nuggets)!

Dyson Stick Vacuum – This one is pricey, but comes highly recommended. It’s on my personal Christmas list because it seems SO much easier than my bulky vacuum.

Wine Holder – Pair this wine holder with bath salts or chocolates for a nice gift for a boss or hostess.

For Office

Ring Light – So many things are virtual now, and I don’t imagine that changing any time soon. This is the ring light I use. It holds my iPhone, which is convenient if I need to record something fairly official.

Sharpie Pens – I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, these pens are the best.

Air Pods – I live in the stone age and don’t have cool things like Air Pods, but these were highly recommended by the Restored community.

Business Card Holder - There’s not much worse than loose business cards floating around in your purse. It’s annoying, but this product fixes that. I keep my own business cards in one, and cards I collect in another.

Books - Moms don’t have time for much, but most do like to read. These book suggestions are specifically for moms in the workplace, but some may be good reads for SAHMs too.

Co-Working Membership – I thought about including things like planners or computer bags, but those are so personal, and every woman will want something a bit different. Instead, gift her a coworking membership. Even if she has a free space to work at home, it is SO nice to get out, see others and have a change of scenery. If you’re in or near Cary, N.C., there’s a new space opening soon called Blush. They’ll have on-site childcare and lots of other amenities. I’m hopeful for a membership, too!

For Everywhere Else

When we asked our community for their initial feedback on gifts, the response was overwhelmingly clear. All moms truly want for Christmas this year is a break.

Every single response we received could be categorized into three gifting areas: time, experiences and community. For specific gift ideas for those categories, check out this WRAL Go Ask Mom blog post where we break it all down for you.
