Restored Events for August

Summer activities can be overwhelming for moms. Take the lead and schedule time to connect with other moms regularly. Restored is here to support working moms striving to excel in their professional and personal lives, and we have several ways for working moms to connect during August. These events offer opportunities for connection, growth and relationship building.

August Events

Coffee Chat

Tuesday, August 6, 2024 | 8:30 AM - 9:30 PM

What to Expect: Join us for August's Coffee Chat, where we'll discuss how to help our kids develop healthy friendships. This is a casual virtual meetup for faith-interested moms to discuss motherhood's challenges and joys.

Feel free to participate as much or as little as you'd like. There's no pressure to join the conversation. This one-hour event gives busy moms an easy way to connect with other like-minded moms. Please register in advance, as space is limited to keep the event small. Grab a cup of coffee or tea and join us for a Coffee Chat on August 6th at 8:30 a.m.

Coworking Club

Wednesday, August 14, 2024 | 9:00 AM -12:00 PM

What to Expect: Coworking Club is a casual way to be socially productive. We meet monthly at Blush Cowork for three hours and work at the same table. Our designated table is usually marked to help people find us, and we typically have several women joining us. Members are welcome to stay for as long or as little as they like. Blush Cowork provides several meeting spaces in case someone needs to have a private meeting or take a break from the group's chatter. The coworking days are free, thanks to Blush, and although Restored moms are intentionally gathered from 9 a.m. to noon, many leave for lunch. However, all are welcome to stay for the entire workday. The atmosphere is very informal – some attendees come in workout clothes because it's their work-from-home day, while others are dressed for work because they may have meetings afterward. It's a nice change of scenery from the usual workspace for a bit…and it's all free! The only expenses are childcare, if needed, and snacks available for purchase at Blush. If you need childcare, let Blush know before the coworking day.

Restored Happy Hour

Tuesday, August 22, 2024 | 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

What to Expect: Join other working moms at Triangle Wine Company, 575 New Waverly Pl Suite 103-B Cary, for an hour of decompression after a busy workday. Connect with like-minded women, purchase your favorite wine (or water), and make a new friend. Happy Hour provides a relaxing respite after a long day and is a great way to connect with women balancing work and motherhood. The calm atmosphere and companionship of friends offers a peaceful setting to forget about work or other concerns.

This informal event is free, but attendees must purchase their own drinks. Registration is requested because space is limited.

Restored Business Leadership: Legal Pillars for Successful Business

Friday, August 23, 2024 | 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM

What to Expect: As a woman in leadership, you are invited to the exclusive Restored Business Leadership series on Aug. 23 at Blush Cowork. This series is a unique opportunity to enrich your leadership journey.

August's guest speaker, Charisma Thomas, the principal attorney at High Tide Legal, will cover the legal requirements for starting a new business, establishing trademarks and copyrights, writing legal contracts, and more. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers at the end of the session.

The event costs $25 per session, or you can purchase all five sessions in advance for only $100. Attendees can bring and eat lunch while our Charisma shares her expertise on the legal elements required to run a sustained, successful business.
