Meet Our Mental Health & Motherhood Speakers

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we’re doing our part to connect moms like you with information and resources that equip and encourage you in your work at home and at the office. That’s why we’re hosting a our third Mental Health & Motherhood event May 18 at Thanks A Latte in Holly Springs.

With therapists offices at capacity, we decided to bring the therapists directly to you. We’re helping you avoid long waitlists by welcoming three licensed Christian counselors to share their thoughts, tools and tips with career-minded moms…because momming is rarely easy, and in today’s culture, we' need all the support we can get.

Here are the amazing moms and therapists you can expect to connect with at the event:

Ashley Wright, LCMHC

Ashley was born in southern California and grew up in Apex, North Carolina with her four siblings. Ashley and her husband have three young, red-headed children. They are a law enforcement family of 13+ years and are invested in their community, church and enjoy time together as a family!

Ashley received her Bachelor’s in Religion from Liberty University in 2008. In 2014, she completed her Master’s in Professional Counseling at Liberty as well giving her the opportunity to become a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina and begin her counselor journey!

Ashley specializes in trauma therapy, betrayal and identity utilizing a SAFE attachment approach. She is a Certified EMDR therapist through EMDRIA. She utilizes CBT, TF-CBT, mindfulness, and IFS approaches in working with individuals amongst other various methods. She often works with individuals who have experienced various types of betrayal such as sexual, emotional, financial, institutional and more in their relationships. Ashley leads groups for betrayed spouses of sexual addiction throughout the year. Finally, Ashley also has a heart for working with first responders and their families as she understands the hardships that can build with this line of work.

Shelley Kraft, MA, LPA, HSP-PA

Shelley Kraft has 25 years of experience using an integrative approach to therapy by utilizing theories and techniques from different perspectives to assist clients in exploring their thoughts, behaviors, emotions, physical symptoms, and spirituality. She believes through this combined approach clients can hope to find solutions as well as increase personal and spiritual awareness.

Shelley specializes in working with individuals and couples with a variety of problems. Her clinical experience includes extensive work with depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, anxiety disorders, relationship problems, and alcohol and drug dependency. She also has experience working with survivors of sexual abuse and domestic violence. Shelley is trained and licensed to conduct psychological evaluations.

Alicia Hartman, MS, LCMHCA

Allie enjoys treating children and teens with play therapy, a natural way of self-expression. Allie also provides marriage and family therapy to those she serves with your individual goals in mind.
